In the Attic
In the Attic: An Interactive Performance Installation
In the Attic is both an Installation and a Performance Inspired by Gaston Bachelard’s, The Poetics of Space. Each can be presented individually, or ideally together.
The Installation is a room in a house where viewers can inhabit and interact with the objects in the space.
The performance focuses on a woman in the final moments of her life, moving between resistance and acceptance.
When presented together the Installation exists full time in a space and at scheduled moments a 45- minute performance happens where the Installation becomes the stage.
The floor is adorned with bucket lists thoughtfully crafted by both visitors and audience.
In the Attic is a space where memories live.
